Monster Energy Honda World Rally Team rider Rick Brabec rode his Evans cooled factory CRF540-Rally motorcycle to an historic victory at Dakar 2020.
The Dakar rally is often named the toughest event in the world and provides the ultimate challenge for riders, drivers and vehicles alike. This year Honda rider Ricky Brabec made history by becoming the first American to win the Dakar Rally. Ricky rode an excellent race taking an uninterrupted lead from stage three right through to the final stage 12. This became even more special as it was the first Honda Dakar victory in 31 years, and a first win in this famous rally for Evans coolants.
Evans PowerSports has been the coolant of choice for Honda Racing Corporation since 2013 in World Rally, Motocross and Enduro Championships. Evans Waterless Engine Coolants eradicate engine hotspots improving combustion and maximising BHP whilst allowing the cooling system to run with significantly lower internal pressure reducing stress and strain on hoses, gaskets and other engine components. The lower pressure within the cooling system and non-toxicity of Powersports also makes things quicker and safer for the support team come race time. This can be crucial to keep an engine performing at its best in such rugged and extreme conditions such as a World Rally event or an MXGP Championship round.
